  • Mr. Fain is an American violinist who is known for his performances on the movie soundtracks for Black Swan, 12 Years a Slave and Oscar and Golden-Globe-winning Moonlight. Mr. Fain also tours worldwide with composer/pianist Philip Glass performing duo recitals.
     
  • American composer and violinist Kenji Bunch is a native to the Pacific Northwest. He performed in the Portland Youth Orchestra before attending The Julliard School of music.
     
  • Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 in C minor quotes and makes references to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (Ode to Joy), earning it the nickname ‘Beethoven’s Tenth.’
     
  • Brahms was cartoonist Charles Schulz’s favorite composer, even though he used Beethoven in his “Peanuts” comic strip.
