  • Walla Walla Symphony principal flutist Leonard Garrison is married to WWS principal clarinetist Shannon Scott. Together they form the Scott/Garrison Duo, which has recorded three albums.
  • Charles Ives worked as an insurance clerk while composing on the side. In 1907 he started his own insurance firm, Ives & Co.
  • The main theme in Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 in E minor is heard in all four movements.
